The Department of Food Engineering was founded in 1996 as one of the first six departments of the Izmir Institute of Technology. Our department offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degree programs. The main aim of our department is to educate engineers who can make innovative contributions to rapidly developing food industry and also to train engineers who can take part in the stages of production and control of healthy products in accordance with the increasing health concerns.
