Our undergraduate student, Adnan Cenker Ege, together with his team “LOOPACK,” won second place in the eco-design category of the GEEK4FOOD hackathon and design competition, which is supported by the European Union. Their project focused on producing PHA through the fermentation of banana waste using specific microbial strains and converting this biopolymer into a sprayable and edible film form.
